Jackson County man sentenced to 20 years for sex crimes

A Jackson County man has been sentenced to 20 years to serve in the Tennessee Department of Corrections for sexual crimes against teenagers. In June 2020 Dept. of Children Services, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the 15th Judicial District DA’s Office started an investigation into accusations of sexual molestation and the sexual filming of underage persons by Dylan Martin. That investigation resulted in Dylan Martin being indicted by the Jackson County Grand Jury for multiple counts of Statutory Rape, Agg Statutory Rape, Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. The evidence against Martin came from multiple sources, including statements from the victims, evidence from the Defendant’s phone, and the Defendant’s own admissions. In August 2023, Martin Pled guilty to Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure, Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Attempted Aggravated Sexual Battery, and received a 20 year sentence to serve in the Tennessee Department of Corrections. Additionally, he will be required to register as a Lifetime Violent Sex Offender and will be placed on Community Supervision for Life upon his release.
